Energy In Time - Intelligent control and simulation system in buildings (European Union, 2013-2017)

The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) participates in the project “Energy in Time – Intelligent control and simulation system in buildings”, financed thanks to the 7th European program (FP7) of the European Union.

Currently, the operational phases of the buildings represent the 80% of a building’s life cycle, 50% of which is a result of the energetic use. This project develops an integrated control and operation approach, combining current techniques with the development of an innovative control technique based on simulation, as to automatize the creation of optimal operational plans that are adapted to the buildings and users’ needs.

The project will be carried out in non-residential but existing buildings, even though the final methodology will be for already existing buildings as well as for new ones.

The project leaded by ACCIONA, will have 11 other partners, apart from FUNIBER: ANA (Portugal), CIRCE (Spain), CIT (Ireland), CRAN (France), CSTB (France), ICPE (Romania), IES (United Kingdom), STAM SRL (Italy), UGR (Spain), UTRCI (Ireland), YIT (Finland).
