The Hygiene at Work Specialization delves into those techniques designed to prevent the occurrence of occupational diseases, by studying, assessing and conveniently modifying the physical, chemical or biological environment of the work place.
The Hygiene at Work Program is aimed at understanding, evaluating and controlling the factors in the workplace that can cause illness or injury. To do so, one should previously classify contaminants to establish measurement units, and finally, limit reference values.
This scheme is followed throughout the specialization, without losing sight of the regulatory framework; in particular, the principles of preventive action and the general duties of protection by the employer.
