Software development is an industry sector worth millions of dollars a year. Its presence in daily life and business is an undeniable economic fact. Investments in software make it an undeniable strategic asset.

Any software today should be integrated with others, as it operates on multiple processes, sharing data with various functions, and will sometimes be used for unforeseen purposes which will have an economic impact.

1.1. Importance of graduate training in Integral Software Analysis and Design

There are a lot of studies in systems analysis and design, generally characterized by being formed in isolated or biased or watertight issues among the diverse dimensional analysis and designs. Having a complete picture is not commonly transmitted. This results in systems with high maintenance or utility expectations that are surpassed by everyday use.

Regarding the Integral Software Analysis and Design Program, it is a comprehensive program that addresses software modeling in its analysis and design phases, keeping in mind that the software is not a static product, but a product that evolves from conception, which transversely affects the organization one way or another.

1.2. Central concepts of the program: integral analysis and design

Software development is a well created opportunity tied to infrastructure, and an operating model made algorithmic. In this regard, the integral analysis and design, addresses analysis and design neither as tasks that are static, nor as tasks that study static subjects. Modeling tasks are also addressed pointed toward various dimensions and not losing sight that in the end, software is a living resource that should generate profits and / or savings.

Who is the programme for?

The proposed training methodology, along with the clarity, breadth and educational content design, to manage the Comprehensive Analysis and Software Design program to people from different fields interested in the study and development of organizations through software or people that have experience in software analysis tasks and design that want to acquire a comprehensive perspective. This allows people working or serving in fields such as systems analysis, functional analysis, organization and methods, computer programming, to gain a more integral software view in terms of an organizational asset, either as a product to be manufactured or as a strategic tool in organizational processes.

Diploma

Successful completion of the program will allow you to obtain the degree of Specialization in INTEGRAL SOFTWARE ANALYSIS AND DESIGN as issued by the University where you have enrolled.

 

Program Structure

The estimated length of the program depends on the academic profile and the requirements of the corresponding university.

Regarding the distribution of time, it states that:

  • Since it is a distance program and not subject to classroom attendance, a specific start date is not set, so the student can enroll at any time, provided there are spaces available.
  • For academic or educational reasons it has a minimum program length of 3 months, starting from the date of delivery of the first volume to the last date of receipt of the evaluation exercise.
  • The maximum time available for the program is 10 months. In this time period, the student must have completed all assessments relating to the subjects.

  • Modeling software with strategic thinking and an integrated view of organizations both internal functions and processes as well as externally in value chains, public-private integration, etc.

Specific objectives:

  • Learn organizational tools and modeling methods oriented to software development.
  • Develop software as a business process.
  • Understand that software development is a process of organizational integration.

These subjects, despite being independent, are self-contained and are structured according to a consistent teaching sequence. Each is divided into basic topic or chapter, the content includes printed material to be studied in order to satisfactorily answer the different assessment activities.

The goal is to solve a case of practical approach proposed by the student himself or the lecturer.

The objective is to make a Final Project for the program aimed at putting the knowledge acquired in the program into practice. The Final Project is performed when the standards governing the program require it according to each university or organization that issues the degree or title.
