ASPERGER IN THE CLASSROOM. JAVIER’S STORY

ASPERGER EN EL AULA. HISTORIA DE JAVIER

In this work, Professor Pedro Padrón Pulido tells us of his experience with Javier, a child afflicted by Asperger’s Syndrome to which he devoted himself for more than two years, achieving important results in the boy’s integration at school.

The story in this book is important and revealing, and also constitutes an operational model for the teaching staff and the families of affected children. As yet no systematic actions for training teachers in the detection of children with Asperger's Syndrome has been taken, and much less in the children´s integration at school without trauma occurring in the class group.

Therefore, the work of Pedro Padrón with Javier is an important testimony of the value and the need for teachers’ intervention for the integration of children with Asperger's Syndrome at school and in social life.

GRAMMAR FOR TEACHERS OF SPANISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (S/ FL)

GRAMÁTICA PARA PROFESORES DE ESPAÑOL COMO LENGUA EXTRANJERA (E/LE)

To many, when hearing the word "grammar" brings to mind an image of a heavy and boring book comes to mind. I think that it is time to. We must remember that Grammar is the book that collects all that is regular and systematic in a language, so that our brains can more easily process language learningearning the same. Sure enoughAl though, as happens in the world of books, there are those presented in the most dense and unappealing texts, while others make it in aare pleasant and entertaining way. In the case of the present work, we encounter a grammar differs from different to the traditional. It is aimed at teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language (S/FL) in order to facilitate their task of including, in both in the hidden andas in the manifest curriculum, those aspects of the grammar of the Spanish language that present more problems to foreigners when learning this language. The task is given a very didactic and pragmatic treatment. Enjoy!
