Electronic commerce or e-commerce is present today in the entire business environment, from simple computer facilities to overall business strategies based on e-Commerce Information Technology.

Importance of training in e-Commerce

A good e-commerce solution is a very complex task that requires considerable research and planning, as well as understanding the different security systems and regulations for its implementation.

Central concepts: e-Commerce and New Technologies

We can understand many things by e-Commerce, but in pragmatic terms, it has the following:

  • Conducting financial transactions electronically.
  • Online shopping in web sites, also known as e-commerce.
  • Using the power of the Internet to help earn money more effectively and efficiently, increasing sales and generating new sales channels, production, among others.

Who is the programme for?

The methodology of proposed training, added to the clarity, amplitude and didactic design content, allows to direct the program in e-Commerce to professionals from different areas, with or without experience in the field, who wish to expand and consolidate their knowledge to apply them in the work environment or who wish to focus their career towards management of new technologies and strategies related to e-commerce. It is a course for people who are or want to be in internet marketing functions, online management, call center, electronic commerce, operation of online sales channels, commerce and social media marketing, markets and online auctions, managers of logistics platforms and online payment, entrepreneurs, among others.

Diploma

Successful completion of the program will allow you to obtain the degree of Specialization in E-COMMERCE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY as issued by the University where you have enrolled.

 

Program Structure

The credit structure of the program e-Commerce is shown in the following table. It should be noted that the duration is merely indicative, as the methodology followed integrates the knowledge and skills to be acquired in each part through integrative exercises of knowledge acquisition and internalization of project practices:

No previous qualification

With previous qualification

In the case of people with previous titration and who have coursed a program that require carrying out the final work, the credit structure of the program is noted in the following table:

Duration

The program in e-Commerce has 50 credits with previous qualification and 40 credits without previous qualification.
The duration of the program in e-Commerce is 12 months with previous qualification and varies between 9 and 12 months without previous qualification, depending on the student's dedication. In this period of time, the student must have successfully passed all the evaluated activities and approved the Final Project, if any.

Objectives

General Objective:

  • Know the potential e-commerce has in changing the way of doing business, through a system of services that supports the sales process, marketing sales, payments, orders and after sales support.

Specific Objectives:

  • Know the business context in today's society to situate the scope of e-commerce.
  • Provide e-commerce solutions to complex tasks requiring considerable research and planning, as well as knowledge of different security systems and regulations for its implementation.
  • Handle the issue of electronic payment and Internet marketing in its organizational and technical dimension.
  • Know the infrastructure and legislation associated with e-commerce.

Career Opportunities

Some of the career opportunities of the program of e-Commerce Information Technology are:

  • Technological or strategic advisor on electronic commerce.
  • e-commerce strategy planner.
  • Advisory of planning departments, managers of S / IT, marketing department and / or legal departments of companies in e-commerce issues.
  • External advisor or business consultant in e-Commerce Information Technology.

The program in e-Commerce is composed by:

  • 1st PART: SUBJECTS

The first part allows knowing and understanding the concept of e-commerce, from the theoretical, conceptual and historical foundations, to its organizational, social and technological implementation. The objective is to achieve a global vision to support the business performance with electronic commerce solutions.

These subjects, despite being independent of one another, are self-contained and are structured according to a coherent pedagogical order. Each is divided into basic thematic units or chapter, which content includes printed material to be studied to satisfactorily answer the various assessment activities.

  • 2nd PART: CASE STUDY RESOLUTION

The objective is to solve a case of practical approach proposed by the student or the lecturer.

  • 3rd PART: FINAL PROJECT

The objective is to make a Final Project of the program aimed at putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the program. The Final Project is done when the regulations governing the program demands it according to each university or organization issuing the degree or title.
