Background

  • The Fundacion Universitaria Iberoamericana (Ibero-American University Foundation - FUNIBER) has its origins in experiences and universities developments of cooperation toward developments performed in the framework of Professorship and UNHWIN-UNESCO Networks and European Community Programs.
  • FUNIBER guides itself by the conclusions present in the Worldwide Declaration about Superior Education in the XXI Century: Vision and Action (UNESCO, Paris, 1998); Vision and Action (UNESCO, Paris, 1998); in which is proclaimed the need of a multicultural formation based on quality, being part of, and international, sympathetic cooperation throughout college networks.
  • In the Declaration there is a principal rule followed by FUNIBER: "Life long education". This means that every individual may be educated in the place where he or she lives and works, wherever that is.
  • Modern communication systems make possible, among other things, on line education. This allows universities to complete their offers, through a College, by granting students access to every knowledge area the Institution wish. Doing it with the best academic level. The road to save these limits goes through the construction of Universities Networks.
