Program Structure

Once the Master in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language is completed, he or she can validate an important part of their credits to study the Master in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. This validation is automatic in the case of subjects common to both Masters. The common subjects are:

  INTRODUCTION 6 CREDITS
1 Classroom Management: Technics and reflection on practice 3 credits
2 Observation and research in the classroom 3 credits
  ACQUISITION AND LEARNING 9 CREDITS
1 Second Language Acquisition 3 credits
2 Individual factors in learning 3 credits
3 Learning Strategies 3 credits
  METHODOLOGY 21 CREDITS
1 Methodological approaches 3 credits
2 Developing Language Skills in the Classroom 3 credits
3 Creation, adaptation and evaluation of materials and resources 3 credits
4 Educational technology in language learning 3 credits
5 Project and Tasks 3 credits
6 Evaluation of the language learning process 3 credits
7 Curriculum design and programming: theory and practice 3 credits

As such, the student will only need to complete the specific subjects of the TEFL:

  SPECIFIC TEFL SUBJECTS 15 CREDITS
1 Approaches to language in the classroom context 3 credits
2 Teaching pronunciation 3 credits
3 English in the community 3 credits
4 Teaching english through translation 3 credits
5 Content Language Integrated Learning 3 credits
  PRACTICUM 10 CREDITS
  MASTER MEMOIRE(*) 20 CREDITS

(*)The student will develop a new memoire of the final master based on the practices and written in English. The students that apply to study this dual degree will receive a special price in the enrollment.

Diploma

Successful completion of the Program will enable you to be awarded the degree in Dual Degree in Teaching Spanish and Teaching English as Foreign Languages.

After successfully completing the Program, the student will receive the degree as awarded by the University where they have enrolled.
